In the municipality of Santiago de Compostela, smart containers were installed for the collection of organic waste.

The containers installed in the city of Galicia, intended for the recycling of organic matter, have been supplied with a large format mouth and incorporate a user identification system that allows its correct use and prevents improper use.

The intelligent opening system consists of the installation of a lock that is located on the lids of the containers and causes them to remain blocked. The user, with an electronic card, can be identified and is what allows the container to be unlocked through an electromechanical device.
